Intrinsic Games Reveals & Launches Project 3 - Penguin Patrol
We’re proud to announce the launch of “Penguin Patrol” on the App Store today! The team has been developing the fantastic puzzle game alongside Amoebattle, and at long last it’s here. To top it off, we’re making the game FREE for the first 24 hours only.
Baby penguins are trapped on thin ice, and they need you to rescue them!. But be careful - with each step you take, the thin ice behind breaks. You’ll have to carefully plan your route to save all the penguins and lead them to safety. Encounter a variety of penguins, each with their own unique personalities that affects how you can pick them up, three different ice types, and a variety of terrain. Featuring adorable and colorful pixel art with full retina display support and Game Center integration, Penguin Patrol is sure to delight puzzle fans.
The iPhone version is now available, and we’ll be releasing the iPad version next. The DSiWare version is completed as well, and just needs to go through the proper submission queues. We’ll be posting up additional info, art, images, and more on the site, so be sure to keep an eye out for that. Be sure to join the Penguin Patrol!

- We’ll continue to keep our website, Facebook, and Twitter updated - including the biweekly Amoebattle updates
- Project 3 is completely done and is already in the first party submission queue (for one of the versions) - we’re just waiting for the ok to make the official announcement
Thanks to everyone for your support- we hope you’ll continue playing our games, and we look forward to seeing what this next part of the journey has in store!
News: Amoebattle Delayed to 2012; Project 3 to Be Revealed Soon
We’ve decided to delay the release of Amoebattle, Intrinsic Games’ upcoming microscopic RTS for Nintendo’s DSiWare/eShop, to 2012. We hit some major development hurdles that delayed the production; rather than rush the game at the cost of the game’s overall quality, fun, and value, we are delaying the release of the game to 2012. We’re also changing weekly updates to biweekly updates. Thanks to all the fans for your support, and we hope you continue checking in on new Amoebattle info!
We’re also getting ready to reveal Project 3, and we’re really excited about it. It’s been getting a terrific response from everyone we’ve been showing the game to, so be on the lookout for the reveal of it very soon!
NEWS: Amoebattle Selected as a Top 10 Finalist for the 2011 Develop Conference Indie Showcase!
Congratulations to everyone on the team! This marks the second honor for the upcoming DSiWare RTS, the first being chosen as a Semi-Finalist at the indiePub/SXSW Independent Propeller Awards. We’ll be showcasing the game at the Develop Conference in Brighton, so if you’re around, be sure to come by and check the game out!
